Get it? A pizza? Like a piece of?
Forget it.
People aren’t too pleased with the high street food chain Pizza Hut after they ran a series of advertisements from The Sun, the infamous tabloid, known for spouting hate and lies throughout its lifetime. From lying about the events of the Hillsborough disaster to just blatant xenophobia, it’s not exactly hard to see why people are upset.
The pizza giant partnered with the paper to offer free food for readers and issued an apology on Twitter.

We apologise for any offence caused as a result of this @pizzahutdeliver promotion. The aim of the offer was simply to give customers the chance to enjoy a free pizza to share with their family and friends

The organisation Stop Funding Hate picked up on it rather quickly:
Hi @PizzaHutDeliver – we understand that you need to run promotions, but did you know that the Sun had been called out for "hate speech" by the United Nations? https://t.co/JZsqPBPGfE https://t.co/iZCUPrO1BT

In summary:
Everyone is getting excited about a free Pizza Hut giveaway with The Sun, call me when there’s free Pizza Express with The Observer

Or should I say, dough?
