Andy Murray is a Scottish professional tennis player and is currently ranked the 6th best player in the world.

He has been ranked as British number one since 27 February 2006.

-Andy turned down a chance to attend Rangers Football Club School of Excellence because he wanted to concentrate on Tennis.

-He moved to Spain and trained on the clay courts of Barcelona.

-Murray’s the youngest ever player to represent Britain in the Davis Cup.

-Turned professional in 2005.

-The Scotsman won Olympic singles gold medal at London 2012, beating Roger Federer in the final.
